About CalSDP

CalSDP is published by Sentinel Four, a California Financial Management Services (FMS) provider vendored with the Department of Developmental Services (vendor PF5575). We are one of the FMS providers a Self-Determination Program participant can choose. We say so plainly, here and in the footer of every page, because a resource that hides who made it is not one you should trust.

Why we publish this. What a family needs to know about Self-Determination is scattered across regional center pages, state websites, advocacy groups and provider brochures, much of it years out of date. We wanted one place that is current, sourced, and written for a worried parent rather than a policy analyst. The goal is that a family decides knowing everything they should.

What we promise. Every page carries the date it was last reviewed. Every program fact traces to a primary source, a DDS directive, the statute, or the federal waiver, and where we could not verify something we say so instead of smoothing it over. The tools work for any FMS provider, not just ours, and where one opens with our own figures it says so and lets you change them.

If we are not the right fit for you, we will say so. That is our standing practice with every family who contacts us.
